Maggie Bai

Angie Huang

Angie is a senior at East Ridge High School who has been involved in competition math since 5th grade, having participated in a variety of math competitions as a captain of the Minnesota All-State Math Team. She received an Honorable Mention on the USAJMO and Math Prize for Girls. She loves teaching at LIVE with Po-Shen Loh and coaching her local MATHCOUNTS team. Besides math, she enjoys congressional debate, piano, and tennis and considers herself to be a die-hard football fan. She hopes that MA4G can inspire girls to take on STEM related careers and start their own initiatives.

Sophia Jin

Sophia Jin is a senior at Liberty High School. She started doing competition math in middle school. This is her fourth year on the MA4G team. Sophia has qualified for AIME multiple times. Outside of math, she plays violin in the University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra. Sophia hopes that the MA4G competition will foster young girls' love for math and AI.

Natalie Shell


Natalie Shell is a current senior at Stanford University, majoring in Computer Science and Math. She has  research experience at Stanford's AI4ALL program, MIT's RSI program, and Harvard's Hoffman Lab. More recently, she interned at SpaceX, on the Starlink Direct to Cell team, as well as with Y-Combinator funded AI startup Auravision. She is interested in Quantitative Trading and Computer Vision, as well as entrepreneurship.

Natalie founded Math and AI 4 Girls because she believes that Math and AI should be open to anyone with talent and passion regardless of their background and experience, and she hopes this nonprofit will play a role in removing barriers and achieving greater participation for girls and other underrepresented groups in Math and AI.

Adya Garg

Adya Garg is a junior from Virginia at Briar Woods and the Academies of Loudoun, and this is her third year on the MA4G team. She is an avid math lover, with multiple achievements in competition math, including 4x AIME qualifier and Math Prize Olympiad qualifier. Outside of math, she is enthusiastic about robotics, competing in FRC for her third year. She hopes to inspire young girls around the world to discover the beauty of mathematics!

Ellie Su

Team Lead

Jiayu (Ellie) Su is a sophomore at Phillips Academy. She has participated in math contests since 4th grade, earning top scores in the AMC series and at Math Prize for Girls. Outside of math, Ellie enjoys physics, computer science, playing the cello and piano, and composing music. She hopes MA4G will inspire more girls to explore mathematics.

Avery Xu

Avery Xu is a junior at Ardsley High School and is enthusiastic about STEM. Her hobbies also include swimming, painting, origami, and violin. She is proud to be joining the MA4G team and hopes to meet other girls who also love math and AI!

Eileen Wu

Eileen Wu is a sophomore in Maryland who has been participating in math competitions since sixth grade. She is a two-time AIME qualifier, and has participated in ACSL and USACO. Outside of math, she enjoys reading and playing volleyball.

Yunong Wu

Yunong Wu is a sophomore at Rye Country Day School from New York and has been on the MA4G team for 2 years. She has participated in various competitions such as USAJMO, USAMO, USAPhO, and the Math Prize for Girls Olympiad. Outside of math and science, Yunong loves to play club and varsity ice hockey as well as the flute and piano.

Thanishkka Vijayabaskar is a sophomore at South Forsyth High School in Georgia. She has been participating in math competitions from a very young age, scoring high in MATHCOUNTS and the AMC series. Her passion lies in STEM, particularly in building innovative and impactful projects with code. Her favorite place to be is at a hackathon, collaborating with others and solving problems. Outside of academics, she is also one of the top flute players in the state and enjoys reading novels and playing with her little sister. She is proud to be a part of the MA4G team and empower the next generation of brilliant women.

Emma Yu

Ella is a freshman at Monta Vista High School in California. She has participated in many math competitions, such as MATHCOUNTS, AMC, AIME, and college math tournaments such as BMT and SMT. Outside of math, Ella enjoys doing physics, playing the viola, and reading.

Aashita Mandiwal

Aashita is a freshman at West High School in Utah. She has participated in many math competitions, including the AMCs, AIME, ARML, HMMT, MP4G, PUMAC, SMT, BMT, and more. In addition, she qualified for the USAJMO in eighth grade and is a 3x MATHCOUNTS National qualifier, ranking 14th nationally in 2024. She has also qualified for the G2 Math Summer Program and the Math Prize for Girls Olympiad. Outside of math, she enjoys science, being a 2x Thermofisher JIC Top 300 finalist. Aashita also loves crocheting, participating in clubs like debate and mock trial, running, and piano. 

Adwita Mandiwal

Adwita Mandiwal is a freshman at West High School in Utah. This is her first year on the MA4G team, and she's excited to spread her love of math to other young girls! She has competed in many math competitions throughout the years, such as AMC, AIME, HMMT, SMT, ARML, and more! Her love for STEM extends from math to science, as she has been a top placer at Science Olympiad Nationals and is a Thermofisher JIC qualifier. She's passionate about giving back to the community, and she leads a campaign that raises thousands for Blood Cancer United. Adwita's interests branch beyond math, as she runs cross country, is a nationally published poet, and has played the piano for 5 years.

Violette Yang

Violette Yang is a freshman at River Hill High School in Maryland. She has been competing in math competitions since fifth grade and is an AIME qualifier and two-time MA4G contestant. She hopes that MA4G can help empower more young girls’ interest in STEM. Outside of math, Violette is a software member on an all-girls FTC robotics team that was on the Winning Alliance from the Chesapeake region. She also enjoys playing violin, dancing, and listening to music.

Elaine Zhou is a freshman at Hopkins School who has been passionate about STEM from a young age. She has been doing competition math since 4th grade and is a 2x AIME qualifier and MATHCOUNTS national competitor. Outside of math, she enjoys playing field hockey, practicing the piano, and singing. She hopes to inspire young students in STEM as part of the MA4G team!

Helen Wan

Helen is a junior at Pine Creek High School in Colorado. She actively competes in math and physics competitions, including the AMC and AIME. She also conducts personal research in math and engineering. She loves STEM because of the logical process and explanation behind each answer. Outside of academics, she enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and unwinding with a good TV show.  

Angelina Wang

Angelina Wang is a sophomore at Stratford Academy and has been passionate about STEM since she was a child. She has medaled in international math tournaments and state science olympiads. She has also placed in numerous math and computer science competitions hosted by local universities and the GCTM. Additionally, she has been chosen as a member of the Georgia ARML team. In her free time, she enjoys participating in the mock trial team, the color guard, and writing poetry.

Evelyn Qiao

Evelyn is a sophomore at South Forsyth High School who loves math, chess, coding, and writing. She is excited to share her passion for math with other girls! Outside of math, she has earned international awards in chess, such as 3rd place in the 2018 World Cadet Chess Championship and top player under 13 at the 2023 SPFGI, and volunteers to teach coding to elementary schoolers. She enjoys reading and playing piano in her free time. She is thrilled to be a part of the MA4G team this year!

Fiona Liu

Fiona Liu is a sophomore at Saratoga High School in California. From a young age, Fiona has been passionate about STEM, and this is her second year on the MA4G team. She is a 4x AIME qualifier and has participated in math contests including BMT, SMT, and Math Prize for Girls. Outside of math, Fiona enjoys debate and marching band, where she plays the clarinet. She’s excited to share her love of STEM with more girls as a member of MA4G!

Advika Asthana is a high schooler in Texas and has always loved STEM. She has participated in many math contests such as MATHCOUNTS and the AMC series. Additionally she loves science and tech and stays involved with Science Bowl. In her free time, she does dance or listens to lots of music.

Rory Hu

Rory is a sophomore at Groton School who is passionate about math and science. She’s currently interested in exploring the biomedical applications of AI, particularly for Alzheimer's disease. Rory is a two-time AIME qualifier, a top winner at Broadcom MASTERS 2022 (now the Thermo Fisher Scientific JIC), and a Class of 2028 Caroline D. Bradley Scholar. Beyond STEM, Rory enjoys using her voice through activities such as journalism and debate. Formerly a reporter with TIME For Kids and Nickelodeon’s Nick News, she has interviewed several notable figures and now leads her own youth journalism nonprofit.

Michelle Zheng

Michelle, a sophomore in Massachusetts, is passionate about math and science. Competing since the age of10, she has participated in numerous math and science competitions, including AMC, MATHCOUNTS, and Chemistry Olympiad. This is her second year on the MA4G team. Outside of academics, she enjoys competitive figure skating, running, and art. She is currently a U.S. Gold Medalist in figure skating.

Sahanya Pallikonda

Sahanya Pallikonda is a freshman at Kennedy High School in Fremont, CA. She has been doing competition math for around three years and has thrived in a couple math and coding competitions along the way, including USACO and the AMC series. She has qualified for AIME and MP4G three times, as well as USAJMO. Outside of math, she really enjoys coding, science, and physics. In her free time, she loves to sing, play basketball, piano, and saxophone, and play with her guinea pig. She also strongly believes that encouraging girls to pursue STEM is very important and loves to support this cause by taking part in organizations like MA4G. 

Eva Lin

Eva is a sophomore in San Jose, California, and she has participated in STEM competitions since middle school. She is an AIME qualifier, a member of her school's Science Olympiad team, and an avid participant in all STEM opportunities she comes across. In her free time she enjoys dancing and playing the violin. She is excited to rejoin the team and contribute to the MA4G initiative!

Chelsea Lu

Chelsea Lu is a freshman at Edward W. Clark High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. She's been passionate about math and problem-solving and began competing in math contests in 2nd grade. She is an AIME qualifier and has participated in various STEM competitions, including MathCounts, Science Olympiad, and others. Beyond STEM, Chelsea loves playing piano and violin, varsity golf, and is a former national winner of SIFMA InvestWrite. She hopes to continue growing and learning from the MA4G team, and inspiring other young girls in STEM!

Melody Jing

Melody Jing is a freshman in Plano, Texas, who has been passionate about competitive math since 4th grade. She has participated in MATHCOUNTS and the AMC series, qualifying for AIME twice and scoring in the top 2.5% on the AMC 10. At her school, she serves as a TA for the AMC 8 club, helping younger students develop their problem-solving skills. Beyond math competitions, she is a TXSEF finalist and participates in FTC robotics. Outside of STEM, she enjoys dancing. She hopes that Math and AI 4 Girls can inspire more young girls to pursue their passions in STEM and empower them to break barriers in mathematics and technology.

Yuvika Kandel

Yuvika Kandel is a freshman at Green Level High School in Cary, NC. Her passion for STEM started when she was little, and competed in several Math Kangaroo events. She has also been interested in coding since a young age, and has placed in several competitions, including the international STRIPE competition, where her and her teammates got first place. This is her first year on MA4G. Outside of STEM, she is actively involved in music, with 9 years of piano experience, as well as percussion experience. She has made several honors bands, including those at the state-level.

Lulu is a freshman at Davidson Academy Online with a passion for STEM and creative problem-solving. She was Alabama’s State MATHCOUNTS Champion, a recipient of the Maryam Mirzakhani Certificate of Excellence, a first place winner at Alabama Science & Engineering Fair, and a Thermo-Fisher JIC Top 300 Finalist. Besides STEM, she enjoys writing, with recognitions such as 2x Finalist and Very High Commendation in the John Locke Institute's Philosophical Essay Competition. Outside of academics, she plays tennis and soccer, and enjoys acrylic painting. A strong advocate for girls in science, she hopes MA4G will inspire the next generation of female STEM leaders.

Christina Lu

Christina Lu is a sophomore at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Massachusetts. Alongside competing in math and computer science contests such as the AMC series and USACO, she is passionate about learning advanced math. Since attending Canada/USA Mathcamp, she has become particularly interested in group theory! The love she discovered for math now inspires her to encourage and support other girls pursuing STEM.​​

Michelle Lin is a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Mclean, Virginia. She has been passionate about STEM from a young age and hopes to inspire other students in STEM. She has qualified for AIME and attended the Math Prize for Girls competition at MIT. Outside of math, she is an avid golfer and enjoys creative writing along with coding.

Olivia Lee

Olivia is a freshman at South High School, California and has participated in math competitions since 5th grade.  She qualified for AIME through AMC 10, advanced to MathCounts State competition, and has been on the Math Counts and Math field day school representative for all 3 years of middle school. She has been a member of UCLA ORMC math club for many years. She teaches math to elementary students in preparation for math competitions. After she participated in Sigma Camp and Brown University pre-college program in medicine, she got more interested in the STEM field, especially in Biology. She also advanced to the International environmental science competition in Puerto Rico and won 3rd place in the Model UN program. Despite her appreciation for biology and life in general, her favorite part of STEM is math because it has helped her journey in STEM far more than any other subject.  She is a member of South High'sTennis Junior Varsity team. Also, she loves to play flute and is part of different orchestras.

Manalee Chowdhury is a sophomore at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, though she grew up in the Bay Area. With a deep passion for mathematics from a young age, she has become a multiple-time qualifier for the AIME and is eager to inspire and empower more women to pursue their dreams in STEM. Outside of her academic pursuits, Manalee enjoys writing poetry, playing tennis and flute.

Arya Nayak

Arya Nayak is a freshman from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School who is passionate about math and problem-solving. She placed 12th in the MathCounts Chapter Competition and qualified for the 2025 MathCounts State Competition. She also earned the AMC 8 Honor Roll distinction in both 2024 and 2025 (Top 5%). This is Arya's first year being on the MA4G team. Beyond math, she enjoys coding, playing the flute and piano, swimming, and reading.

Shaoxuan (Lily) Ma is a junior from Tallahassee, FL. She began participating in math competitions in elementary school, going on to be a top placer at MathCounts and an AIME qualifier. Lily was also an MA4G team member in her freshman year. She is excited to see young girls’ interest in STEM flourish. Outside of STEM, she loves going to the gym and reading.

Stella Hong

Stella Hong is a freshman at Norman North High school who is passionate about contest math and STEAM. She was Oklahoma’s MATHCOUNTS champion and a two-time national qualifier, and teaches contest math at her local Sunday school. Outside of math, she enjoys creative writing, violin, and punk rock. She hopes that girls in rural, underrepresented communities can find and enjoy the world of math and AI, and look towards the future.

Lisa Cao

Lisa Cao is a freshman at Wayzata High School in Minnesota. She has been participating in math competitions since 5th grade such as AMC tests, Mathcounts, and Highschool Math League. Outside of math, she’s a tennis nationals invitee and has achieved many tournament titles. Alongside that, she loves connecting with nature and spending time with her friends and family. She is so excited to help out with MA4G!
